Flood Insurance Customer Service Representative

e-Ins Insurance Technology and Processing company is currently hiring for Flood Insurance CSR positions. Flood or Homeowners Insurance experience and/or a Customer Service background is preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English is valuable.

Summary

The Flood CSR is the front-line contact for all policy related inquiries. CSRs professionally interact with customers to provide information and process policy requests. This position requires the ability to handle calls with customers and agents through the call center queues with a positive, friendly attitude. CSRs will also be able to handle/resolve policy workflow transactions as requested from the CSR Team Lead or CSR Supervisor. Attendance during shift hours is vital to this position’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls
  • Communicate professionally with customers/agents
  • Process customer payments
  • Research and resolve customer requests/inquiries/complaints
  • Follow-up with customers as necessary
  • Escalate customer inquiries to proper channels
  • Document system for each inquiry/resolution
  • Policy Maintenance
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Company Related Duties:

Basic flood knowledge/rules, Policy Maintenance via Renewal, Endorsement (non-monetary/monetary) or Cancellation, New Business/Underwriting Processing and Theory (including PRP, NM, and standard rated policies) when applicable

Competencies

Effective decision making and problem resolution, customer/client focus, results driven, flexibility, PC proficiency, good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, data entry/typing, interpersonal skills, attention to detail/accuracy, multi-tasking and good time management, knowledge of NFIP Rules and Regulations (including rating)

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent; call center experience with phone and/or chat, flood or P&C insurance experience is a plus.

Full-time (40/week), entry level, competitive wages, employer-paid medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k. Fluent speaking, reading, and writing, in both Spanish and English is valuable.
